HEP Jobs

I’m looking for a jobs in HEP field, specifically in software related roles. I’m currently working at CERN as PhD Candidate in the LHCb experiment. I’m looking for a job in a similar field, so it is a job hunt season for me. I kept looking for jobs on inspirehep jobs board each couple of days. But I found that I can do better. I wanted to try the idea of vibe coding, I hate the word vibe itself so I hate the term overall. But I had a simple project for GitHub new AI agent. Build a static website that will show the recent month jobs on inspirehep jobs board. It will reply on GitHub Action instead of having a dedicated backend server.

So the idea is the use inspirehep REST API and parse the JSON response to extract the job information. Then use custom template to generate the HTML page.then push it to GitHub Pages. The idea is simple and we just need to make sure that it render well on phone and desktop. And of course it should have dark and light modes. I started the project and depended completly on GitHub agents from github.com and I didn’t touch the code manually. I used GitHub AI to generate the code and GitHub Action to build and deploy the website. I can see it as a rare complete position impact for AI agents for me.

And because I didn’t write this code myself, I will not add it to my projects or resume. It is for personal use only and I just wanted the work done without me investing any time in it. And I got decent results and this is a good start for me to explore AI agents in my work.
